Call for Interns

Do you have a passion for research, program implementation and/or capacity building? Do you want to advocate and learn more about human rights, good governance and sustainability? Most importantly, do you want to help take part in pioneering a youth-driven, multi-disciplinary think-tank? If so, Policy+ would like you to join the team!

We have multiple positions available for the role of:

Research Intern

Program Intern

Graphic Design Intern

Work is primarily Jakarta-based but shall be conducted remotely (WFH), with the possibility of in-person meetings when urgent. Hours are flexible and output-based.

Research Intern

The research intern is an excellent writer that is capable of analyzing qualitative and quantitative data. In this capacity, the research intern will undertake the task of developing research briefs, assisting in the development of knowledge products as well as potential project proposals. We see our research interns as creative, curious and highly motivated people who are strong critical thinkers!

Requirements:

Final Year Student or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Law, International Relations, Environmental Studies or Public Health
Interest in pursuing research on human rights, good governance and sustainability
Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analyze data
Excellent writing and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and in English
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

Conduct research and analyze data to identify trends and developments in human rights, good governance and sustainability issues
Prepare reports, policy briefs and other documents that summarize findings
Assist in the development of project proposals and grant applications
Participate in meetings and other activities related to research projects
Participate in the development and implementation of research strategies and methodology

This is an unpaid internship but when possible, revenue sharing opportunities can be available. We offer flexible hours and the opportunity to learn, grow and network. If offered the position, a complimentary training session will be provided. Internships are between 3 to 6 months.

Program Intern

At Policy+, interns within our training program department are innovators, and problem solvers with an entrepreneurial flair. The goal of this department is more than just teaching, it’s about uplifting skills to as many people as possible. training program interns are organizers who are able to conceptualize, plan and execute whilst bringing a positive impact. In this capacity, training program interns are effective communicators, excellent marketers and result-oriented. Passion should be your fashion!

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Communications, Management, Marketing, and Education
Interest in developing training programs for a variety of stakeholders
Interest in event planning and management
Social Media Savvy
Excellent writing and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and in English
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Result-oriented and Self-Starter

Responsibilities:

Design and develop training content, including Terms of Reference, materials and rundowns
Liaison with potential resource persons
Organize online and in-person training programs
Meet mutually agreed targets

Graphic Design Intern

At Policy+, interns within our graphic design team are creative and attuned to the latest trends. Graphic designs are exceptional brainstormers who are able to execute and create visualizations that fit with the design language and values of Policy+. In this capacity, graphic designers look at the big picture, understand the audience and are not afraid to think out of the box.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Design, Art, Marketing, and Communications
Passionate in Creative Industry and open to learning new things
Mastering Relevant Creative Suites (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Canva, etc)

Responsibilities:

Create social media visual output
Provide design for knowledge products, presentations and research brief
Assist in organizing the design language of Policy+
Able to break down information into design posters, infographics, etc
